Job Summary

University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust is seeking a skilled and compassionate Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our dynamic team in the Emergency Department. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our department.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional patient care, including in-patient assessment, planning, and delivering care needs.
  • Utilize core emergency skills, such as plaster of Paris application, venepuncture, and cannulation, to ensure patient safety and well-being.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide individualized care and support.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and departmental performance.

Requirements
  • NVQ3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
