Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our team in an acute environment. The successful candidate will have an NVQ3 in health & social care and an understanding of the senior healthcare support worker role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in and provide individualised nursing care for patients experiencing physical and psychological conditions under the supervision of a registered nurse.
  • Use core emergency skills such as plaster of Paris application, venepuncture and cannulation.
  • Conduct in-patient assessment and planning and deliver care needs.
  • Communicate with individuals in ways that are appropriate and take account of individual needs and requests.
Requirements:
  • NVQ3 in health & social care.
  • Understanding of the senior healthcare support worker role in an acute environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team to deliver high-quality care to all patients entering the emergency department.
Working Environment:

The Emergency Department is a 24-hour service, and a degree of flexibility will be required to meet service requirements.
