Job Summary

This position plays a critical role in ensuring the optimal functioning of equipment and facilities at UPS. The ideal candidate will assist in identifying and implementing cost-effective solutions to equipment breakdowns, while also collaborating with the operations team to prioritize repairs and maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in overseeing the protection of physical assets, facility, and equipment maintenance, and facility housekeeping.
  • Identify and schedule necessary repairs and preventative maintenance using BaSE mechanics and outside vendors to maintain the condition of the facility.
  • Communicate assigned work status to colleagues to determine potential impact on the department's schedule.
  • Assist in maintaining environmental compliance in accordance with UPS environmental programs to promote the environment and health and safety of UPS workers and the surrounding community.
  • Deliver required regulatory training as directed to BaSE and non-BaSE personnel.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or international equivalent in Engineering - Preferred
  • Programming experience including troubleshooting, basic understanding of networks, motor control theory, and operation including basic AC and DC electrical troubleshooting - Preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and simple diagrams
  • Availability to work flexible shift hours, up to 5 days per week
