Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist qualified nurses in safely conveying and transferring patients.
  • Drive ambulances as required and ensure adequate handover of patient details.
  • Provide crisis intervention to patients experiencing mental health difficulties during transfers.
  • Respond to emergencies and report accidents, complaints, and untoward incidents promptly.
  • Attend training, meetings, and reviews, and adhere to the company's uniform policy.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Health Care Assistant in primary care and in mental health.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and focus on accuracy.

Desirable:

  • Healthcare related NVQ, BTEC, or equivalent at Level 3 National Care Certificate.
  • Experience of working within a nursing team and dealing with vulnerable patients.

Working Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, with increased rate for overtime.

Location: Hub Base - Stevenage, with a 50-mile radius travel to client hospitals and clinics.

Rate: £15.50/hour (weekdays), £17.50/hour (weekday nights and weekends).
