Job Description:
We are working in partnership with a provider of children's services to offer a permanent opportunity for a Senior Residential Children's Support Worker based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire.
The hourly rate ranges between £13.50 - £15.50 per hour dependent on experience. Shifts are 8:00am - 8:00pm, with weekend work usually 1 - 2 times per week.
As a Senior Residential Children's Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:
- Attending staff meetings and supervisions
- Being accountable for decisions made regarding the welfare of young people and staff members during shifts
- Discussing staffing matters with the Manager
- Ensuring all staff members are kept up to date with changes to procedures
- Providing support with person-centred support plans
- Safeguarding vulnerable children and reporting any suspicion or evidence of harm
- Respecting confidentiality and committing to professional development
- Covering other homes when required
- Liaising with parents and/or carers and other professionals
