Job Type: Full-time
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join our team at GSL Education. As a Primary SEN (SEMH) Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering tailored lessons and interventions to meet the unique needs of each student.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students with Special Educational Needs.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters progress and well-being.
- Assess and monitor students' progress, adjusting teaching strategies as necessary.
- Collaborate with SENCOs, support staff, and external professionals to develop Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Provide emotional and behavioral support to students, promoting their social and emotional development.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in teaching students with SEN.
- Experience teaching KS1 and KS2 materials and students.
- Specialization in SEN or relevant SEN teaching qualifications are advantageous.
- A passion for working with students with SEN and a commitment to their educational and emotional well-being.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
- Effective classroom management skills, creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service.
