SEN Teaching Assistant

Academics Ltd is seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in a Primary school in Maidenhead, Berkshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting pupils with Autism and Social and Emotional Mental Health Needs (SEMH) in a Year 1 or 4 class on a 1-2-1 basis.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supporting pupils with Autism and SEMH in a 1-2-1 setting
• Assisting with lesson planning and delivery
• Developing and implementing strategies to support pupils with SEN
• Collaborating with teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive approach to pupil support
Requirements:
• Degree level qualification (Level 3 and above accepted)
• Experience working with children with SEN (desired but not essential)
• Strong background in Maths and English (ideal for this role)
• Ability to work with challenging behaviour
What We Offer:
• Competitive daily rate (£83 - £95 per day)
• Long-term temporary contract with potential for permanent position
• Full-time hours (Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm)
