We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Theatre Practitioner to join our team in the operating department of a prestigious private hospital in Guildford.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering safe and quality care to patients during their peri-operative phase, supporting the management and organization of care within the department, and providing clinical and managerial leadership to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

This is a full-time permanent position with a competitive starting salary of up to £44,000 per annum, plus benefits including 25 days holiday, private pension scheme, private healthcare scheme, and family-friendly policies.

The ideal candidate will have relevant post-registration qualifications, ENB 998 and/or mentorship course, approved anaesthetic course, ILS certification, orthopaedic skills, mentorship qualification, and ILM3. Previous experience working in an acute healthcare environment and managing a clinical team is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver safe quality care for patients during their peri-operative phase of care
  • Support, coordinate, and actively assist in the management and organization of care within the operating department
  • Provide quality planned care for patients during their peri-operative phase of care by ensuring all team members deliver quality patient care by providing appropriate clinical and managerial leadership
  • Lead in the delivery of patient care during a list or specified period of time
  • Ensure that patient safety checks are carried out in accordance with the policy and that all practitioners adhere to the policy
  • Contribute to quality improvement
  • Develop and enhance the skills and knowledge of others and self
  • Promote best evidence-based practice within own scope of practice
  • Achieve agreed objectives and demonstrate Private Hospital Group behaviors at all times
