About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join our team in East Finchley, North London. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine passion for delivering high-quality lessons, meeting the complex SEMH needs of all pupils, and making a meaningful impact on the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lesson Planning and Delivery: Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans tailored to meet the diverse needs of students with SEMH.
  • Class Team Collaboration: Work closely with teachers to facilitate learning opportunities, promote positive behaviors, and provide emotional support to students.
  • Pupil Progress Monitoring: Accurately record and report on student progress, concerns, and achievements, communicating effectively with other school staff to ensure individualized support.
  • Pupil Supervision: Ensure pupil safety and well-being during non-classroom time, including extracurricular activities and school trips.
  • Positive Relationships: Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to drive interaction, positive learning outcomes, and overall academic success.

Requirements:

  • QTS and Strong Educational Background: Hold a recognized teaching qualification and certification, and possess a solid educational foundation to degree level or higher.
  • Previous Teaching Experience: Demonstrate proven teaching experience, preferably in an educational setting supporting students with SEMH.
  • Commitment to Professional Development: Embody a growth mindset, committed to ongoing professional development and continuous learning.
  • Enhanced DBS Check: Be willing to undergo an enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check prior to commencement.
