About the Role:

  • Sales Target Ownership: Take ownership of achieving sales revenue targets for specific markets, developing a strong sales pipeline, and driving sales closures.
  • Market Analysis: Analyse key industries based on their Scope 1, 2, & 3 carbon emissions and identify opportunities within these sectors for decarbonisation solutions.
  • Customer Engagement: Engage major corporate customers within target industries, providing value-added advisory services related to decarbonisation and carbon credit solutions.
  • Sales Process Management: Drive customer engagements from initial discussions through to successful sales closures, including submission and negotiation of commercial proposals and contracts.
  • Relationship Management: Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers to foster recurring sales and ensure long-term success.
  • Contract and Pipeline Management: Secure both short-term (spot) and long-term (forward) contracts, and manage the development of sales pipelines.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay up-to-date with market trends, customer demand, and price fluctuations, providing regular reports on developments.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a relevant field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years' experience in sales within the energy, commodities, or financial sectors, ideally targeting large multinational corporations.
  • Track Record: Proven success in meeting and exceeding sales targets and managing key client relationships.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience with carbon credits (voluntary or compliance), decarbonisation, corporate sustainability, or trading carbon credits would be highly beneficial.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to engage with senior stakeholders both locally and internationally.

Salary: The salary for this role is £70,000 per annum, plus benefits.
