Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Housing Casework Officer to join our team in preventing homelessness and providing vital support to citizens in housing need.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate with a good working knowledge of housing legislation in both the public and private sectors.
  • Advise on and decide duties owed to citizens for the authority, with a good working knowledge of Homelessness and associated legislation.
  • Effectively manage a complex workload under pressure, meeting specified targets and deadlines, while demonstrating attention to detail, prioritisation and self-organisation skills.
  • Commit to providing a high-quality customer-focused service.
  • Evidence of working successfully in partnership across different sectors, building and maintaining good working relationships.
  • Understanding of the wider issues impacting upon homelessness, the barriers facing people with multiple and complex needs.

Requirements:

A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.
