Job Details

Job Role
As a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the English teaching staff and the SEND department to deliver high-quality support to students. Your primary responsibility will be to implement and oversee agreed work programmes with individual and small groups of students, promoting progress through intervention. This will involve providing in-class support and leading extraction groups, with a focus on delivering GCSE English content up to grade 5.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the English teaching staff in delivering lessons and interventions
  • Work with the SEND department to develop and implement individualized learning plans
  • Provide in-class support to students, promoting engagement and understanding
  • Lead extraction groups, focusing on GCSE English content up to grade 5
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:
