Job Role: Behavioural Teaching Assistant

Location: Wakefield

Contract: Full-time, part-time and flexible working

We are seeking a Behavioural Teaching Assistant to support students 5-11 in a Primary school in Wakefield (WF9). The successful candidate will be resilient, passionate and able to build strong relationships with the children.

Main Duties:
  • Support the class Teacher with behaviour management and provide interventions to students
  • Support with activities inside and outside School grounds
  • Have a knowledge/experience of challenging behaviour and children with Autism
  • Record pupil progress and use positive behaviour techniques i.e. rewards and positive reinforcement
  • Make a difference to pupil lives
Requirements:
  • Eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident
  • Have an overseas criminal clearance or willing to apply for one
  • Have a child enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to apply for one
  • Experience supporting children with SEMH and challenging behaviour
  • Minimum of three months UK residency
  • We do not accept those on skilled worker visas
  • Please ensure you have references available upon request covering the last 24 months of employment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
