Job Overview
Aegon Asset Management is a leading global investor with employees working from 13 locations across Europe, the Americas, and Asia. We advise on assets for a global client base of pension plans, public funds, insurance companies, banks, wealth managers, family offices, and foundations.
We are now looking for a Manager to oversee the procurement of information services and market data from third-party vendors. This role involves managing supplier relationships, developing sourcing strategies, and driving cost savings and efficiency improvements.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team that supports each other and helps develop one another. As a Manager, you will be responsible for procuring and renewing market data services required by the business in the most cost-effective manner. You will also develop sourcing strategies and category plans, drive cost savings and efficiency improvements, and ensure data/service usage and pricing is accurately recorded.
Key Responsibilities
* Procure and renew market data services required by the business in the most cost-effective manner.
* Develop sourcing strategies and category plans.
* Drive cost savings and efficiency improvements.
* Ensure data/service usage and pricing is accurately recorded.
* Manage relationships with market data providers, ensuring service quality and adherence to contractual obligations.
Requirements
* Experience within a similar procurement role is essential.
* Strong negotiation, vendor management, and budget management skills are required.
* Experience working with legal and commercial aspects of vendor licenses is advantageous.
