About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pension Administration Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the administration of technical benefit calculations across a defined Benefit Scheme.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete calculations and manage correspondence for members, ensuring timely completion within Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Handle high earner cases, including legislative controls for protection.
  • Perform quality assurance checks on colleague communications from a pension technical and legislative perspective.
  • Update and reconcile worklists to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Review transfer cases for compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Respond to email correspondence and manage team inboxes.
  • Assist auditors with queries during annual audits.
  • Complete and review complex member calculations to maintain SLA standards.
  • Authorise daily payments and support processes to maintain compliance and minimise escalations.
  • Provide support and testing for cyclic projects and key initiatives.
  • Support colleagues with PMI exams and contribute to process improvements.

Your Requirements:

  • Experience in DB Pension Scheme administration.
  • Background in either in-house or third-party administration.
  • Administration experience of technical benefit calculations.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of UK Pensions legislation.
  • Prioritisation and time management skills.
  • Effective communication skills – written and verbal.
  • Strong team working ethos and willingness to assist colleagues.
  • Motivation to learn and improve processes.
  • High numeracy and analytical skills.
  • UK Pension Scheme knowledge.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).

  • A competitive salary of £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
