Fusion Communications Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced communications specialist to join our team as the Communications and Engagement Lead for Fusion Futures' LIBRTI programme. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for devising, developing, and delivering the PR and stakeholder engagement plan for LIBRTI, as well as providing external and internal communications for the Materials Division of UKAEA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy for LIBRTI, including stakeholder engagement, media relations, and internal communications.
- Work closely with the Fusion Futures programme team and UKAEA's Communications department to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Design and deliver events, such as webinars, supply chain events, and on-site conferences, to promote LIBRTI and the Materials Division.
- Develop and manage supporting materials, including presentations, press releases, web copy, newsletters, and marketing materials.
- Report to the LIBRTI programme board on feedback and shape onward communications direction.
- Build relationships with senior personnel across UKAEA and stakeholders in the fusion and nuclear landscape.
Requirements:
The successful candidate will have a degree-level education or equivalent, with proven experience in engagement campaigns and communications planning and delivery. Excellent leadership, writing, and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as the ability to develop content for various internal and external channels. A knowledge of stakeholders in the fusion and nuclear landscape is advantageous but not essential.
