About the Role

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHSFT is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Student Midwife. This exciting opportunity is designed for qualified Adult Nurses who wish to transition into a midwifery career.

Job Responsibilities

As a Student Midwife, you will work under the guidance of a qualified midwife, developing your skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care to women and their babies. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Participating in clinical placements across various settings, including community midwifery, midwifery-led birthing units, and neonatal units.
  • Engaging in online resources, discussions, group working, and reflection sessions to support your learning and development.
  • Developing your skills in holistic care, recognizing and managing problems in childbearing women, and providing responsive and confident midwifery care.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Be an active registered nurse with the UK Nursing and Midwifery Council.
  • Have a degree or diploma in higher education or 60 level 5 credits.
  • Have at least 6 months of full-time post-registration experience within the last 2 years.
