About the Role
Barchester Healthcare Ltd is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RGN) to fill a challenging and rewarding position as a Unit Nurse Manager (General). In this role, you will be responsible for planning, managing, and monitoring the delivery of nursing care that meets the diverse needs of our residents. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our residents by implementing person-centred care plans and ensuring high-quality patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
As a Unit Nurse Manager (General), your primary responsibilities will include:
- Recruiting, training, and mentoring staff to ensure excellent clinical practice and high standards of care
- Planning and delivering comprehensive care plans that cater to the individual needs of each resident
- Coordinating rotas and scheduling to ensure efficient use of resources and optimal patient care
- Building relationships with local regulators, social services, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse (RGN)
- Experience in producing well-developed care plans and detailed risk assessments
- An up-to-date knowledge of recent clinical practices and regulatory frameworks, including DoLs/MCA and Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines
- A strong track record of delivering improvements to achieve quality care
