Quantity Surveyor Opportunity at the Port of Dover

We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team at the Port of Dover. As a key member of our framework team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring projects are delivered within contractual requirements and are profitable.

About the Role:
  • Work closely with the project team to record costs, changes, and variations
  • Make applications for payments and assist with procurement of materials and subcontractors
  • Minimise cost and risk of the project and enhance value for money
  • Provide commercial support to the engineering staff on site and carry out measures
  • Manage costs and budget in line with the NEC contract

This role will also suit someone who has experience in a Maintenance Manager or Depot Manager role. If you are a detail-oriented and organized individual with excellent communication skills, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with the project team to ensure accurate cost recording and variation management
  2. Process payments and assist with procurement of materials and subcontractors
  3. Identify and mitigate cost and risk factors to enhance project value
  4. Support engineering staff on site and conduct site measures
  5. Manage project costs and budget in accordance with the NEC contract
