Recovery Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Recovery Worker to join our team at WithYou. As a Recovery Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering substance use and domestic abuse interventions within our local authority safeguarding teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond quickly to high-risk safeguarding situations, ensuring individuals receive appropriate support and guidance.
- Develop pathways into services and engage proactively with the local community.
- Provide support and advice to individuals experiencing difficulties due to substance misuse.
- Work closely with the safeguarding team and respond to referrals on the same day to deliver psychosocial interventions.
- Develop plans with clients to help them achieve their goals and get their lives back on track.
- Deliver group sessions to stakeholders and work effectively with other social care providers.
- Continuously learn and reflect to improve outcomes for clients.
- Support colleagues across the service to deliver excellent care.
Requirements
- ONC/NVQ level 3 or willingness to achieve within 12 months.
- Experience working in a health, social care, or related setting.
- Previous experience working with people who misuse substances.
- Knowledge of health and safety, risk assessments, and domestic abuse.
- Knowledge of safeguarding children and adults, and working with children and families.
- Knowledge of harm minimisation interventions and prevention techniques.
- Resilience under pressure, prioritisation skills, and excellent communication skills.
