Our search for a skilled Bed Manager (RMN) is focused on identifying a confident professional who can lead the delivery of exceptional care at Cygnet Hospital Bierley.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality nursing care and serve as a role model for junior staff.
  • Effectively manage all acute/PICU referrals, ensuring timely decisions and excellent outcomes.
  • Exercise delegated authority to oversee the referral process, from receipt to admission decision.
  • Make informed admission decisions, considering factors such as referral appropriateness and ward capacity.
  • Ensure that preliminary screening is conducted promptly, and additional information is obtained in a timely manner to support informed decision-making.
  • Monitor ward capacity and ensure that admissions are managed objectively.
  • Complete the Referral Assessment Screening Score (RASS) and present clinical information in a clear, concise manner to inform decision-making.
  • Process referrals efficiently, with decisions made within 1 hour of receipt.
