Job Title: Operations Manager

NRL Teesside is proud to be working with a leading process/manufacturing facility in Teesside who are now seeking an Operations Manager to lead and manage day to day operations of the Redcar facility including full responsibility for all aspects of the operational process team and maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the plant is operating to its maximum efficiency and capability to meet business KPI's.
  • Ensure all duties are safely carried out in compliance with the relevant legislation, regulations and guidance notes.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Leading daily operations of the business unit
  • Manage overall manufacturing operations capacity and interactions between departments (manufacturing, supply chain, etc.)
  • Lead improvement plans ensuring the achievement of budgets and overall performance targets through the management team.
  • Lead the operations team to deliver operational excellence ensuring individual and departmental performance targets and KPI's are met.
  • Achieve and exceed EBITDA target, set out in the monthly P&L, by ensuring revenue targets are achieved and costs are controlled in line with business objectives.
  • Manage human resource to maximise performance, carry out line management functions relating to personnel issues.

Requirements:

  • Managing at a senior level

  • Managing multi million pound budgets
  • Management of Multi Million pound project start-up

Technical Knowledge:

  • In-depth knowledge of plastics recycling processes
  • Numeracy and ability to understand numerical data
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing methodologies
