Educational Assistant for Students with Special Needs

Scarborough, North Yorkshire, United Kingdom Principal Resourcing Full time

We are partnering with an all-age specialist school based in Scarborough to find exceptional SEN Teaching Assistants. These positions are available on a daily and ongoing, part and full-time basis to meet the school's staffing requirements.

The school provides education for pupils with a variety of learning needs, including severe or profound learning difficulties or disabilities. Many pupils have additional special educational needs such as autism, physical disabilities, and complex medical needs.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be part of a dedicated team supporting pupils with SEN. While a Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable, it is not essential. What is crucial is that you have a patient, compassionate approach and experience working with people with SEN. The school offers in-house, free-of-charge training to prepare you for the role.

Please note that to apply for this position:

  • You must hold an enhanced DBS disclosure or be willing to obtain one through us.

Salary: £22,000 - £30,000 per year, dependent on experience. We prioritize safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, implementing stringent vetting procedures, including an enhanced DBS check and references.
