Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Shift Engineer to join our team at Integral UK Ltd. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical maintenance and a proven track record of working in critical environments such as banking HQ and data centers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive works to building plant, equipment, and systems in accordance with agreed service levels.
  • Respond to building management system alarms and effect emergency repairs as needed.
  • Issue and ensure appropriate controls within the permit to work systems.
  • Ensure that critical cooling water systems and domestic systems are maintained to comply with the requirements of the L8 standard.
  • Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out maintenance of critical and non-critical plant.
  • Ensure that comprehensive maintenance records are kept in the form of task sheets.
  • Develop and enhance standard operating procedures and emergency operating procedures.
  • Ensure that engineering subcontractors are appropriately escorted and comply with contractual commitments.
  • Develop a good working relationship with all members of Integral UK Ltd staff and clients.
  • Ensure that a safe and healthy working environment is maintained and that all company policies and procedures are met.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in critical environments such as banking HQ and data centers.
  • LV Authorized Person (A Bonus)
  • Electrical/Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship or similar.
  • C&G Pts. 1 & 2, equivalent or exceeds.
  • 18th Edition IEE: Wiring and Installation (Ability to attain 18th Edition through additional training if you have 17th Edition)
  • C&G 2391 test and inspection; BS 7671:2001 for inspection, testing, and certification.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with all levels of staff.
  • Proactive in achieving the highest standard of operation.
  • Good IT and report writing skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure while remaining calm and clear-thinking.
