About the Opportunity


We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Director to play a key role in our team at Jacobs. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, developing and implementing commercial strategies to meet the objectives of the NNEP framework.


Key Responsibilities



  • Maximise opportunities for generating revenue, profit and sustainable growth throughout the lifetime of the NNEP programme.
  • Determine our pricing models and leverage our market understanding to steer the direction of NNEP.
  • Develop and implement commercial strategies aligned with the central EAS capability.
  • Lead the Sales and proposals team, and develop strategic relationships with AWE, new and existing Partners and the Supply chain.
  • Align commercial objectives with the organisation's business strategy.
  • Oversee and manage all commercial aspects of large-scale, multi-billion-dollar construction projects.
  • Effectively manage risks and seize opportunities to ensure the district's commercial success.
  • Contribute to setting and achieving P&L, budget, and forecast goals.
  • Optimise project cash flow through active invoice collection and identification of invoicing opportunities.

Requirements



  • BSc/BA in Quantity Surveying, business administration, finance or relevant field.
  • Significant experience of major programme delivery across a number of programmes of values of £100s of millions of pounds.
  • Exceptional leadership and behavioural management qualities.
  • Strong understanding and experience of NEC and different contract forms and ways of contracting.
  • Experience of building and leading complex supply chain to deliver engineering and/or construction projects.
  • Solid collaboration skills to work effectively with multiple teams.
  • Innovative problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate clear technical direction.
  • Security clearance, or the ability to obtain clearance.
