About the Role

As a Director of Finance & Corporate Services, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our Board, stakeholders, and employees across both the company and the City Council. Your primary responsibility will be to lead the corporate functions that enable effective financial management, decision making, and service provision.

Your Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the financial health of the company, ensuring we can achieve our aspirations.
  2. Develop commercial approaches to grow our customer base and income.
  3. Review the mix of provision to ensure NCSL receives the best support from its enabling services.
About You

We are seeking a professionally qualified accountant (CCAB, CIMA) with recent and relevant experience of driving transformational and cultural change. You should also have a track record of leading, motivating, and managing finance and corporate services teams to meet the company's objectives.

To thrive in this role, you will:

  • Demonstrate commercial and financial experience including company accounting, managing profit and loss, cash flow, and balance sheets.
  • Have recent and relevant experience of driving transformational and cultural change and business performance improvements.
  • Be comfortable in developing and driving strategic direction and business planning.
  • Have an understanding of the challenges and issues facing the public sector, whilst having a knowledge of public contracts regulations.
What We Offer

This is a leadership position with scope, responsibility, and purpose. As a Director of Finance & Corporate Services, you will have the platform to drive positive change, influence key decisions, and leave a lasting legacy. The estimated salary for this role is £65,000-£80,000 per annum.
