About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as a Curriculum Leader for the Level 4 Certificate of Higher Education - Preparation for Design, Media and Screen at the University of the Arts London, School of Pre-Degree Studies.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced educator to lead the academic leadership and management of the curriculum, working closely with the Course Director to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and assessment methods.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of arts and design practice, including contemporary international practices, and will be able to demonstrate a clear vision for the future development of the course.

Responsibilities
  • Led the day-to-day management of the course, including all areas of learning, teaching, and student assessment.
  • Developed and implemented effective teaching strategies and assessment methods to support excellent teaching, pedagogy and inclusion.
  • Maintained accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
Requirements
  • A undergraduate degree and/or postgraduate degree in a relevant arts and design subject.
  • A PG Cert teaching qualification.
  • Detailed knowledge of a relevant aspect of arts and design practice, including contemporary international practices.
  • Experience of teaching and assessment in a FE/Pre-degree environment.
  • The ability to suggest practical solutions to new or unique problems and apply innovative digital approaches to curriculum leadership, teaching, learning or professional practice.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £55,000 per annum, based on the location and industry standards. We also offer a range of benefits, including access to training and development opportunities, a generous annual leave entitlement, and a comprehensive pension scheme.
