Financial Aid Coordinator

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Financial Aid Administrator to join our team at the University of Glasgow. This part-time (17.5 hours per week) role is open-ended and offers a competitive salary of £25,138 - £29,605 per annum pro rata.Main Responsibilities:
Provide guidance and support to students and stakeholders on financial aid options, eligibility requirements, and application procedures. Process and assess applications for financial aid, determining eligibility and award levels. Work with funders and sponsors, including the US Department of Education, Student Loans Company, and Student Awards Agency for Scotland. Maintain records, process data, and carry out reporting as required. Ensure compliance with funder and institutional policies and regulations related to financial aid. Participate in professional development to stay informed about changes and trends in financial aid policies and practices.
Key Requirements:
A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is essential. Excellent numeracy and IT skills, good interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to develop and apply specialist knowledge in an organisational setting are also required. Previous experience working in a busy customer-focused environment, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, and using a call management or CRM system would be advantageous.
