Job Title:

Supervising Social Worker

About the Role:

Foster Care Associates (FCA) is seeking an experienced and skilled Supervising Social Worker to join our team. In this 12-month fixed-term, part-time role, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of foster care cases, working closely with carers and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for children in care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload of foster care cases, conducting regular visits and assessments to monitor the well-being and progress of children in care.
  • Work collaboratively with carers, other professionals, and agencies to ensure that the needs of children are met and that their placements are stable and secure.
  • Develop and implement individual care plans that take into account the unique needs and circumstances of each child.
  • Provide training and support to carers to help them build on their skills and confidence in caring for vulnerable children.
Requirements:
  • A degree in social work or a related field, with significant experience working in foster care or a related field.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with carers, children, and other professionals, building strong relationships and communicating complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Excellent assessment and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations and make informed decisions about the best course of action.
  • Ability to work independently, managing your own caseload and prioritizing tasks effectively.
