Job Title: Health and Safety Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Health and Safety Manager to join our team at JD Gyms Group. As a key member of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing comprehensive health and safety strategies, policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve health and safety strategies aligned with organizational goals and industry best practices.
  • Create and enforce health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Empower managers and colleagues with training, resources, and support to foster a safety-conscious culture throughout the organization.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular audits and inspections across all gym facilities.
  • Develop and maintain effective incident response protocols, conducting thorough investigations and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Analyse health and safety data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities to enhance the overall safety performance.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, external agencies, and regulatory bodies to promote a positive safety image for the organization.
  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans, ensuring all employees are trained and prepared to handle various emergency situations.
Requirements:
  • Qualified to NEBOSH Diploma level or equivalent.
  • Good experience in health and safety management in the fitness or leisure industry.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing successful health and safety strategies in a national organization.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • A genuine enthusiasm and passion for Health and Safety and an ability to engage with colleagues at all levels.
