Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated Publicity Officer to join our team. As a key member of our marketing department, you will be responsible for promoting our authors and brand through various channels.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and maintain our social media presence across Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, and Facebook, creating engaging content to promote our frontlist and backlist.
- Assist in organising book trade events to showcase our authors and brand.
- Support in-house publicity campaigns, reporting to the lead publicist.
- Identify and pursue promotional opportunities, crafting effective pitches to secure media coverage.
- Build and maintain relationships with media contacts, ensuring our authors and brand receive optimal exposure.
- Generate publicity updates and reports to support the sales team.
- Maintain accurate records of press, radio, and TV coverage.
- Perform general administrative tasks related to publicity, including mail distribution and database maintenance.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- At least 1-2 years of publicity experience.
- Social media proficiency, confident communication skills, and good knowledge of press and media outlets.
- The ability to source and organise information effectively, show initiative, and attention to detail.
- Excellent multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
We offer a competitive salary range of £26,000-£28,000 pro rata, depending on experience. This is a 9-month contract, with a minimum of 2 days per week spent at our offices in Richmond-on-Thames. We welcome requests for regular homeworking days or flexible hours by arrangement.
