Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Pharmacist Specialist to join our Medicines Optimisation team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care in relation to their medicines. This will involve working closely with our medical and nursing staff to implement our medicines optimisation strategy, as well as developing and implementing relevant strategies, policies, and patient group directions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake medicines reconciliation when patients transfer between care settings to ensure their medicines reflect what is intended.
  • Provide drug/medical information and advice as appropriate.
  • Develop and deliver clinical pharmacy services, including providing education and training to colleagues to promote best practice.
  • Lead and develop quality improvement programmes and clinical audit.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in pharmacy or equivalent plus Postgraduate clinical qualification in a relevant field.
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is approximately £55,000-£65,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including professional development opportunities and a supportive working environment.
