Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity at our Sheena Simon Campus to join our Foundation Learning and Student Support Department as a Safeguarding Team Leader on a permanent, full-time basis. Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum.

This role involves effectively managing a team of safeguarding practitioners to ensure high-quality safeguarding support and interventions are provided. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Conducting safeguarding case assessments, reviews, and monitoring to provide targeted and timely support for at-risk students.
  2. Developing an effective early help offer and collaborating with cross-college teams to promote effective education and prevention support.
  3. Providing case supervision and ensuring timely safeguarding interventions are implemented.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant qualification at Level 4 or higher (e.g., teaching, social care, youth work, careers guidance).
  • A minimum of Level 2 qualification in English and mathematics or equivalent.
  • Experience working with young people and adults in a similar environment.
  • Experience working with vulnerable/at-risk individuals.
  • Line management experience.
  • Collaboration with internal/external agencies.
  • Risk assessments and defensible decision-making.
  • Delivery of staff training and CPD.
