About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Specialty Doctor to join our team at Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a Specialty Doctor, you will play a vital role in providing specialist assessment and treatment to service users, working closely with Consultant Psychiatrists and other multidisciplinary team members.
Main Responsibilities
Key duties of the role include assessing new patients, formulating treatment plans, and conducting follow-up reviews. You will also have the opportunity to participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, complex case and risk panels, and academic afternoons. Additionally, you will be supported in your professional development, including the option to pursue the CESR route to consultancy.

Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of full-time postgraduate training or higher, with at least 2 years in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty. You will also need to be fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment. Other essential criteria include excellent knowledge in the specialty, the ability to meet duties under the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act, and participation in research or service evaluation. Desirable qualifications include a qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research, or management, MRCPsych, and being in good standing with the GMC with respect to warnings and conditions on practice.
