Specialty Physician

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialty Doctor to join our team at Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a Specialty Doctor, you will play a vital role in providing specialist assessment and treatment to service users, working closely with Consultant Psychiatrists and other multidisciplinary team members.

Main Responsibilities

You will be responsible for assessing new patients, formulating treatment plans, and conducting follow-up reviews. You will also participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, complex case and risk panels, and have the opportunity to join professionals' meetings. Additionally, you will contribute to the development of the team and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in psychiatry, with at least 4 years of postgraduate training or equivalent experience. You must be fully registered with the GMC and have a licence to practise. Excellent knowledge in psychiatry and the ability to meet duties under the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act are essential. Participation in research or service evaluation is also desirable.
