Qualifications

Candidates should possess a relevant HND/SVQ Level 4 or higher qualification in fields such as Early Years, Childcare, Community Education, or Community Planning.

Key Responsibilities

As a vital member of the Children and Families Service, your role will involve:

  • Coordinating the support and development of Out of School Services.
  • Overseeing holiday provision across the City.
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in educational, community-based, or voluntary roles involving Children and Families.
  • A proven track record in coordinating services and activities.
  • Skills in data analysis, partnership collaboration, and staff training.

Additionally, experience in engaging with parent groups and committees, along with a strong understanding of providing enriching play experiences for children aged 5-16 years, is essential.

You should demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the advantages of high-quality Out of School Care and holiday provision, along with strong planning and organizational abilities.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and report writing skills are crucial, as are proficient IT skills, problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

A collaborative spirit and excellent networking skills are also important, as is a willingness to work during evenings and/or weekends when necessary.
