Essential Qualifications

Candidates should possess a relevant HND/SVQ Level 4 or equivalent qualifications in Early Years, Childcare, Community Education, or Community Planning.

Key Responsibilities

As a vital member of the Children and Families Service, your primary focus will be to coordinate and support the development of Out of School Services and holiday provisions throughout the community.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in educational, community-based, or voluntary roles involving Children and Families. You should demonstrate a proven track record in service coordination, activity management, data analysis, partnership collaboration, and staff training.

Experience in engaging with parent groups and committees, along with a solid understanding of providing enriching play experiences for children aged 5-16 years, is essential. A comprehensive knowledge of the Out of School Care sector is also required.

You should recognize the advantages of high-quality Out of School Care and holiday provisions for children and families, showcasing strong planning and organizational skills. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and report writing abilities are crucial.

Proficiency in IT is necessary, along with the capability to solve problems and negotiate effectively. You should be able to work independently with minimal supervision while also thriving in a team environment, demonstrating exceptional networking skills.

Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed is expected.
