We are seeking a skilled Medical Secretary to join our team at Sue Ryder St John's Hospice. As a Medical Secretary, you will play a vital role in supporting our consultants and clinical team in providing high-quality care to patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and circulate consultant and doctor on-call rotas, ensuring timely updates and changes.
- Prepare and control documentation related to junior doctor rotations and medical student placements.
- Utilize audio recordings and written documents to type patient assessment pathways, death and discharge summaries, outpatient clinic letters, and general correspondence.
- Manage diaries for doctors and consultants, booking meeting/training rooms and travel as needed.
- Respond efficiently to enquiries from patients, carers, and professionals, coordinating meetings and taking minutes as required.
- Excellent IT skills and audio typing abilities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Excellent telephone manner and listening skills.
