Job Title: Research Director Lead

This is a unique opportunity to join Powys Teaching Health Board as a Research Director Lead. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in delivering projects associated with the Embedding Research in the NHS Programme. You will work closely with NHS R&D Directors, NHS Finance Directors, and Health Economists to promote innovation and best practice in measuring the economic impact and value of research to NHS Wales.

In this role, you will lead on a range of service improvement programmes across NHS Wales, supporting NHS organisations to measure the impact and value of research on an ongoing basis. You will be a key member of the team working on the Embedding Research in the NHS programme for Health and Care Research Wales. You will also support all aspects of the planning and delivery of the programme to measure the impact and value of research to NHS Wales.

The ideal candidate will have a postgraduate management qualification to Masters level or equivalent experience. They will also have continuous management and personal development, project or programme management qualification, advanced knowledge of, and experience in, the planning, co-ordination and conduct of Health and Social Care research. Knowledge and familiarity with all aspects of clinical data management, particularly confidentiality, is also essential.

This role offers a competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience, and a range of benefits including training and development opportunities.
