**Job Summary:**


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Psychiatry Medical Officer to join our team at Priory Group. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to our clients with complex mental health needs.


**Key Responsibilities:**



  • Undertake psychiatric assessments for clients referred to the unit to determine the appropriate level of care to be provided, under the direction and supervision of the Consultant Psychiatrist.
  • Prepare discharge summaries, reports, and other associated documentation as necessary.
  • Participate in learning activities, supervision, and Clinical Governance activities.
  • Work effectively with colleagues to ensure that clients have access to appropriate medical cover at all times.
  • Support the GP in delivering physical health care and emergency treatment to patients in complex care.

**Requirements:**


The successful candidate will hold a CCST / CCT (or equivalent) in Psychiatry and have experience of working in inpatient settings with people with significant mental health difficulties.

**Additional Information:**


This role will involve working effectively with colleagues to ensure that clients have access to appropriate medical cover at all times. The post holder will be expected to participate in an on-call rota for the site and arrange appropriate clinical tests and investigations.
