Penguin Recruitment Ltd is a leading recruitment agency in the field of planning services, seeking a skilled Town Planner to join their team.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will work on various projects, including urban regeneration, commercial developments, heritage-led schemes, and rural planning.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Provide expert planning advice on diverse projects, incorporating heritage and conservation aspects.
  • Prepare and submit planning applications, appeals, and environmental assessments efficiently.
  • Maintain clear communication with clients, stakeholders, and local authorities at all stages of the project.
  • Contribute to strategic planning initiatives, identifying opportunities for development and growth.
Salary and Benefits
  • A competitive salary: £65,000 - £85,000 per annum, plus discretionary bonuses.
  • 30 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays, with an additional day credit for every year of service up to five years.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum RTPI accredited town planning degree or relevant qualification.
  • MRTPI membership is required.
  • Previous experience in relevant roles, demonstrating expertise in managing caseloads for different planning applications.
  • A proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
