Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Officer to join our team at Milestone House, the emergency accommodation for homeless individuals in Derby. As a key member of our staff team, you will provide support and advice to vulnerable individuals, ensuring a high-quality customer service focus in all aspects of the role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support and guidance to homeless individuals, promoting positive engagement and progression towards resettlement and move on.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, risk assessments, and support plans, ensuring compliance with procedural time frames.
  • Participate in training and development activities to enhance skills and knowledge in supporting vulnerable customer groups.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a seamless service delivery, responding to changing needs and priorities.

Requirements

  • Experience of working with vulnerable customer groups, including homeless individuals.
  • Understanding of safeguarding principles and practices, including support available to homeless people.
  • Empathy and passion for supporting homeless individuals, with a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including shifts over a 7-day period, and adapt to changing circumstances.
