- Flag major stock or operational issues and support sourcing additional resources to deliver
- Ensure all equipment is supplied efficiently
- Continuous improvement
- People management, including staff appraisals, authorizing holiday, submitting temporary agency worker requests, authorizing timesheets, etc.
- Monitoring output against budget and negotiating with equipment and materials suppliers for the best possible deals
- Communicating with customers via phone and email, handling all requests and, where necessary, complaints
- Responsibility for the health and safety of the site and for addressing any safety concerns quickly
- Previous warehouse or depot management experience from a fast-paced national or international organization
- Understanding of logistics, facilities management, and health and safety
- First aid at work training preferred
- Strong communication and leadership qualities and ability to build relationships
- Good computer literacy skills, including Word and Excel
This is a full-time and permanent role, with a salary of up to £53,000 P/A, depending on experience, plus 25 days' holiday + bank holidays, health cash plan, pension contributions, and more. The role may require some UK (and occasional European) travel, so flexibility around the core hours would be desirable. A valid passport is a prerequisite. Physical fitness is required, as the role involves some heavy lifting, bending, and twisting. A full driver's license is also necessary.
