Empowering Learning SEMH Teaching Assistant Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our team at Empowering Learning. As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with emotional and behavioural difficulties in a challenging yet rewarding environment.

About the Role

As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for providing behaviour support, learning, and progress for students with SEMH statements. You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide behaviour support and guidance to students with SEMH statements
  • Assist teachers with lesson planning and delivery
  • Support students with learning and progress
  • Work collaboratively with other support staff to create a positive learning environment
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Recent experience working with children with EBD, SEMH, and other challenging behaviours
  • A strong understanding of SEMH and its impact on students

We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with SEMH. If you have a background in Psychology, Youth Work, Sports Coaching, Life Coaching, or Mentoring, and you are committed to providing high-quality support to students, we would love to hear from you.
