Job Title: Senior Automation Developer Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior Automation Developer to join our team in the Corporate Transformation Directorate. This role will be part of the newly formed Scottish Government Automation Centre of Excellence (CoE) team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and manage complex AI-powered automated solutions using various hyper-automation platforms.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders and end-users throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Investigate and resolve defects, technical debt, and manage change requests.
  • Lead on the development of process patterns for automations that can be reused across the public sector.
  • Utilize best practices to ensure automations meet business requirements and stated targets for efficiency.

Requirements:
  • Experience in developing and implementing automation solutions.
  • Knowledge of hyper-automation platforms, such as Blue Prism, UiPath, and Microsoft.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
