Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Staff Nurse to join our Pre-Assessment team at Nuffield Health Newcastle Hospital.

About the Role

As a Staff Nurse in our Pre-Assessment department, you will be responsible for assessing patients undergoing various operations, including orthopaedic, general surgery, urological, gynaecology, cosmetic, and plastic surgery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough pre-operative assessments of patients to identify potential risks and develop effective care plans.
  • Collaborate with consultant surgeons and anaesthetists to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Provide holistic care to patients, incorporating a thorough assessment of their health condition, social circumstances, and post-operative recovery.
  • Develop and maintain strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical procedures and technologies to provide high-quality patient care.
