**Job Overview**

We are seeking a highly skilled Locum Consultant in Respiratory Healthcare to join our team at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional care to patients with respiratory conditions, working closely with our multidisciplinary team.

About the Role

This is a 1.0 whole-time equivalent (WTE) position, based at Ealing Hospital, with opportunities for cross-site working at Northwick Park Hospital. The post is offered on a fixed-term contract for 12 months, with a view to becoming substantive in year 2.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • To provide high-quality patient care, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of respiratory conditions.
  • To work collaboratively with consultants, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • To contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and protocols, ensuring best practices in respiratory medicine.
  • To participate in research studies and quality improvement initiatives, enhancing our understanding of respiratory diseases and improving patient outcomes.

Person Specification

Qualifications

  • MRCGP or equivalent qualification in General Practice.

Desirable Qualifications

  • MD, PhD, or equivalent degree in a relevant field.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Broad-based training in Respiratory Medicine and its subspecialties.
  • NHS experience within the last three years, preferably in a respiratory specialty.

Management and Audit

  • Sound understanding of clinical governance principles and implications.
  • Evidence of service audit, design, or change management.
