About the Opportunity

A significant career opportunity has arisen to make a substantial impact with a global leader in its field, based at an award-winning factory in Plymouth. At this innovative manufacturer, we're partnering with suppliers of electrical components.

This role presents a unique chance to work with a skilled supply chain team managing purchases of materials and components from a global supplier base, focusing on electronic components.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Establishing terms and pricing for purchased component parts procured within the factory.
  2. Supporting the procurement/planning team to ensure timely and accurate supply of purchased parts within the factory.
  3. Supporting the Supply Chain Manager and Buyers in data preparation, projects, and activities related to group purchasing of components, raw materials, and services.
  4. Identifying and delivering material cost savings within the plant.
  5. Representing the Supply Chain team on NPI projects and sourcing new components and materials.
  6. Maintaining liaison with the Finance Team regarding variations to material/component costs.
  7. Being the first point of contact for direct material purchasing activities within the factory.
  8. Providing operational support in procurement and management of indirect purchase areas, including services and capital.

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of up to £50,000, along with 36 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays), option to purchase additional holiday, employee health and wellbeing options, excellent pension plan, and bonus scheme.
