Teaching Assistant / Cover Supervisor Role

In this challenging yet rewarding role, you will provide high-quality learning support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties, and complex trauma backgrounds. Located in Liverpool, this Alternative Provision setting requires a dedicated individual who can deliver tailored support and implement effective behaviour management strategies.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience working with vulnerable students, including those with SEN, SEMH, and trauma-related needs. This includes delivering one-to-one or small group support, managing classroom behaviour, and collaborating with teaching staff and external professionals to drive student progress.

To be considered for this role, you will need to possess expertise in behaviour management, SEN, and SEMH practices. A solid understanding of trauma-informed approaches is also essential, as well as a flexible and resilient approach to working with challenging students.

  • Deliver high-quality learning support to students with SEN, SEMH, and trauma-related needs
  • Implement behaviour management strategies to promote positive learning behaviours
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and external professionals to support student progress
