About the Role

Aldwych Consulting Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join their team in a Construction Consultancy firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Building Surveying and project management, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality services to clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Manage and provide a range of Building Surveying/project management duties across several projects in different sectors.
  • Business Development: Assist with the development of new and repeat business across all sectors.
  • Client Relationship Management: Manage the client relationship and service delivery on a project-by-project basis.
  • Contract Administration: Use and apply standard forms of building contracts, such as JCT and NEC.
  • Industry Knowledge: Keep abreast of industry issues and developments in best practice.
  • Framework Management: Deliver commissions under framework agreements.
  • Survey and Reporting: Conduct building surveys and produce professional reports and specifications.
  • Quality, Health, Safety and Environment: Understand the principles of quality, health, safety and the environment within the management of projects.
  • Project Administration: Manage and administer projects, including due diligence, condition and measured surveys.
  • Design and Project Leadership: Design and lead small to medium-sized construction projects.
  • Professional Services: Provide professional services, including party walls, asset management, and statutory applications.
Requirements
  • Education: BSc (Hon's) Building Surveying RICS Accredited degree.
  • Professional Membership: Full member of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
  • Experience: Ability to demonstrate good all-round surveying experience.
  • Project Management: Experience of both pre and post-contract project management responsibilities, and able to deliver this service effectively to clients.
  • Travel: Prepared to travel as required.
  • Other Duties: Any other duties that may be required sometimes.
  • Team Management: Ability to manage and develop team members, including mentoring of APC graduates.
  • Client Management: Experience of managing clients and their expectations.
  • Compliance: Comply with all legal, professional and corporate compliances for all work carried out.
